The plant material must therefore be placed on a grid. Unfortunately, the manufacturer of the distillation apparatus sold by Dansk Hjemmeproduktion does not produce such grids. Instead, you can use the stainless steel mesh from a colander, item no. 1296. The mesh is detached from the frame and the handle. See pictures 2 and 3. It is then folded to the size that fits your distillation apparatus. The grid must be large enough to sit above the water level in the apparatus. Fold the sieve inwards so that its dome shape is retained. Wear heavy-duty gloves while doing this, as the wire ends are very sharp.
