Bark protector / trunk guard, black, dia. 2-6 cm (small diameter), height 55 cm, 1 pc

Professional trunk guard with flexible diameter. Protect your plants from hares and mice gnawing the bark with this trunk guard, which is very easy to fit on established as well as newly planted fruit trees. Picture 2 shows how badly things can go wrong in just one night when a hare gets peckish. This can happen to young trees all year round, but the risk is greatest in the winter months. This kind of gnawing can do irreparable damage to a young tree. Very often, as with the tree pictured, the tree cannot be saved. Even with minor damage, there is a high risk that the tree will later develop a weakness in the trunk so that it snaps, or that the scar becomes an entry point for fungi and/or disease that spread through the tree and weaken it. Buying a guard like this is an investment you definitely won't regret. Width unfolded: 19 cm Long-lasting, as the guard is made of PVC and does not perish in sunlight, wind and weather. The guard has plenty of air holes, so the risk of fungal attack behind it is not as high as with other types.
