Measure the sugar content of must, juice and wine quickly and accurately
This Brix refractometer makes it easy to check the sugar content of must from fruit, berries and grapes, so you can assess ripeness, harvest time and fermentation potential when making wine, cider, beer and other fermented drinks.

Suitable for several types of production and quality control
The instrument can also be used to measure the sugar content of juice, plant-based raw materials and grass. In addition, the Brix value is used as an indicator of the quality of colostrum, where values around or above approx. 22 % typically indicate a satisfactory antibody content. The measurement can be carried out directly on both fresh and thawed colostrum, provided the sample is well stirred.

Quick reading with just a few drops
Place a couple of drops of liquid on the prism, close the lid and read the value against the light. The scale shows both Brix and specific gravity (SG), so you quickly get a usable result.

Automatic temperature compensation (ATC)
The refractometer is calibrated at 20 °C and automatically compensates measurements within approx. 10–30 °C.

Supplied complete and ready to use
The refractometer comes in a solid plastic case with pipette, screwdriver for calibration, cleaning cloth and Danish instructions with conversion table.

Note
The measuring method is most accurate in liquids where sugar is the dominant dissolved solid. Alcohol affects the measurement, and the instrument is therefore not suitable for continuous measurement during active fermentation.
