Oak chips, French Oak. Medium toast, 1 kg

Oak chips, French Oak, medium toast, 1 kg

A good alternative to aging in oak barrels.

Supplement for aging in oak barrels, especially for the second time aging in a barrel as the intensity is halved compared to the first time aging. The alternative to not using oak chips for the second time aging in a barrel is to age the wine for twice as long to achieve the same intensity.

Usage is of course a matter of taste and temperament. Here are a few guidelines:
White wine: 50-150 g/100 liters
Red wine: 100-250 g/100 litres
Storage for 4-12 weeks

Versatile use. If the chips are used for other products such as cider and mead, you have to try it out and taste it continuously. It is not possible to give completely accurate recipes for it. Everyone who uses oak chips tastes the product continuously to sense when to take out the chips.
